Welcome to my page! I’m Zachariah, though I also go by Zach, a southern Ohio-based photographer with a passion for capturing authenticity. Growing up near the Hocking Hills and Ohio's stretch of the Appalachian foothills, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty around me. My love for the outdoors extends to my photography style, where I draw inspiration from nature and apply that to how I find my subjects. I approach each shoot with an eye for candid moments. Authenticity is the name of the game when I have a camera in my hand. Poses are great, but the smiles, laughs, hugs, tears, and truthfully, the embarrassing moments in between are a highlight of my focus.
As a wedding photographer, I aim to capture the day as it naturally unfolds. 'Documentary' style allows me to blend into the background, catching genuine moments that tell your unique story of your day. I believe photography can be used to let you remember the day as it was and how you remember it, and I’m drawn to images that convey warmth, connection, and family.
For the other photo enthusiasts out there, I'll tell you what I like to shoot with. I prefer longer focal ranges. Sometimes I think 50mm is wide angle. I make sure to capture the scene somewhere between 20 and 35mm, but my favorite way to tell stories is the closeups of relatives hugging, the tears at the altar, and the fun, awkward moments that people forget to remember.
Beyond weddings, I enjoy photographing families, wildlife, and landscapes. I drive my wife crazy by pulling over every five minutes for a shot when we're on vacation. When I'm not behind the camera, I’m out fishing, exploring new trails, or spending time with my kids. I believe that photography should feel natural and unforced, reflecting the real and enduring moments that make life meaningful. If you’re looking for a photographer who values both the art of storytelling and the charm of beautiful area, I’d be honored to work with you.

I'm local to several cities and counties including Ross, Jackson, Vinton, Athens, and Hocking.
Let's have fun and be creative!
